See This Country Star's Chic Living Room Makeover

When one imagines the living room of a country music star, cowboy hats, cacti, and other Western accents certainly come to mind. In this case, the bright white living space also includes touches of brass and gold and even a pink sofa. Elise Larson of A Beautiful Mess took on the project of making over the living room of country singer-songwriter Kacey Musgraves, and the results are a lovely fusion of notably Nashville sensibilities with ladylike embellishments.

After creating a private Pinterest board, Larson and Musgraves sent ideas back and forth to each other of inspiration and flea market finds. The results are clean and bright with just the right number of curated knickknacks to give the space a homey, lived-in feel. The living room centers around a large whitewashed fireplace with a wooden coffee table and two butterfly chairs outfitted with cowhide throw pillows in ivory. The juxtaposition of modern pieces with natural elements infused with country flair gives the space instant charm balanced with elevated chicness.
