While no structural changes were required, the owners of this architecturally designed house in Sydney’s Bondi needed the largely open-plan living space to have more flexibility for their family of four.
A tight budget also needed to be respected.
Furniture pieces in a monochromatic palette complement the gallery-like white walls, while energetic hues of green, blue and gold lift the otherwise neutral scheme. A play with textures including chalky travertine, smooth marble, chunky wool, delicate linen and lacquered timbers add interest.
With a more free-flowing layout and intriguing art, furniture, and soft furnishings, this is now a liveable family home with inviting corners and tactile temptations at every turn.
